Gauhar Raina

After medical school, Gauhar completed four years of residency at NYMC Metropolitan Hospital Center. Gauhar completed his training in a community hospital setting and was able to see a diverse spectrum of patients from a wide range of socio-economic backgrounds. His primary focus is medication management and brief therapy, while also making sure to connect patients to additional resources to ensure their mental and physical health needs are being met. He enjoys working with diverse populations and often being the first point of contact for medical needs in the community health setting. Being able to play a role in someone's wellbeing, functioning, and mental/physical health is a privilege and one of the most rewarding aspects of his work. Outside of work, Gauhar enjoys hiking, tennis, trying new recipes, and watching sports.
