OVERVIEW

Crisis support for whatever you or a loved one are going through, whenever you need it

“Crisis” is self-defined and can vary for each person. A crisis may be caused by situational stressors or circumstances, or a chronic health diagnosis. Our Crisis Intervention Services team provides confidential and compassionate support for anyone who believes they or a loved one are experiencing a mental health or substance use crisis. Get 24/7/365 in-person assistance, treatment, referrals, and information.

  • Always open

Our Crisis Intervention Services team helps people 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. A mental health or substance use crisis can happen at any time, and we are always ready to support you or a loved one when it does.

  • Care for everyone

We provide critical support and services for everyone in our community – regardless of how old you are, where you live, your documentation status, or if you have insurance. You do not need to have a previously diagnosed mental illness to get support.

  • No appointment needed

Stop by our Walk-In Crisis & Addiction Services Center anytime to get help and support from our experienced crisis clinicians. You do not need to call ahead or schedule an appointment.

  • Evidence-based treatment

We provide research-backed and trauma-informed crisis response care, support, and resources to any person experiencing a mental health or substance use crisis – including suicidal or homicidal thoughts, panic attacks, anxiety, situational crises, severe depressive symptoms, and psychotic symptoms.

SERVICES

In-person crisis care that is confidential, compassionate, and trauma-informed

Our Crisis Intervention Services team specializes in timely and confidential crisis de-escalation, intervention, assessment, evaluations, and safety planning – with the goal of helping people avoid more disruptive interventions (such as hospitalization or law enforcement).

Assessing Need and Setting Goals to Stabilize a Person in Crisis Hands Over Heart

Assessing need and setting goals to stabilize a person in crisis

Visitors receive an initial screening and a clinical assessment upon arrival by a skilled professional. Using this information, a safety and risk plan is developed to get the person the immediate support they need to stabilize the crisis. Then, we set individualized goals and create a response treatment plan to support the individual after they leave.

Crisis Center Inside1 (1)

A trauma-informed space for healing

Visitors have access to a welcoming and trauma-informed space to rest, recover, and process. Get support in a calm and safe environment based on the principles of autonomy, respect, hope, empowerment, and social inclusion. While here, guests have access to compassionate and expert care. They can also relax on couches, recliners, chairs or at a dining table; watch television or read magazines or books; or simply enjoy the view.

Connecting clients to additional care

After supporting visitors through an urgent and immediate crisis, our specialists can coordinate further care as needed – which may include Withdrawal Management, inpatient psychiatric hospitalization, emergency room, Crisis Stabilization Units (CSUs), Acute Treatment Units (ATUs), or ongoing preventative support. For instance, we can connect guests to outpatient therapy or substance use treatment at Clinica Family Health & Wellness or through our network of community partners.
