Behavioral Health Professional

Mayasa joined our team in 2006, working as a Prevention Intervention Specialist at local high schools, conducting mental health assessments of students as well as crisis intervention, case management, and mediation. Mayasa is a strong advocate for the LGBTQIA+ community at school and co-facilitated the Gay/Straight Alliance for numerous years. Most recently, Mayasa has conducted comprehensive assessments to get clients enrolled for therapeutic services and medication management. Mayasa is passionate about her role and feels everyone can truly benefit from mental health support and guidance. As one of the first people individuals seeking care talk to, she strives to make families and their children feel safe and comfortable as they are being assessed for services. In her free time, Mayasa spends time with her kids and husband, and she finds joy in thrifting, decorating, and cooking.
